Thermowood

Thermowood is produced using heat & steam and no chemicals are added that could have an impact on the environment. The heat treating processes involve passing quality softwood through special kilns under strict controlled conditions at temperatures in excess of 200 degrees centigrade. This process produces a timber with greatly enhanced qualities and ability to withstand demanding weather conditions without the need for preservatives. The main benefits resulting from this process are exceptionally increased dimensional stability, increased strength over untreated timber, high resistance to warping & twisting, increased durability and environmentally friendly.
