Jatoba is a beautiful exotic hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attack. Our Jatoba is Kiln Dried which reduces movement, its hardness also provides natural scratch resistance making it an ideal choice for internal or external decking areas.

We only source our Jatoba from legally harvested forests and can offer fully FSC certified material as an option.

  Machined to a smooth finish of 21mm x 145mm
  
  Although we only sell Jatoba decking as the natural finish (the right hand image) In the picture above, the sample on the left shows how the Jatoba finishes once oiled.
  
  A common misconception is that smooth decking is more 'slippery' than decking which has a profile. Decking does become slippery when organic material builds up on the surface, and starts to break down i.e. leaves, moss etc.
  
  So decking with no profile is inherently easier to clean due to the lack of any troughs where organic material can build up. And it's also much quicker and easier to jetwash, and stain when you want to revitalise your deck.
